Top 5 Games That We’re Expecting In 2018

The past year was definitely one of the best years in gaming. Titles like Player Uknown Battle Grounds, the newest COD WW2 that returned the game back to its original roots of World War 2, then we had some huge AAA titles like the new Assassins Creed Origins, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was also a huge hit.

2017 will be remembered as a year of huge surprises, the biggest one being Nier: Automata – a game that blew away most die-hard gamers. Not only have we seen some long-expected titles, we’ve seen some really amazing games that make you think outside of the box.

Cuphead was a total success, even though its in 2D. We can go on about the games that have kept most of us glued to the screen in 2017, but that’s old news. Let’s see what games can we expect in 2018, a year that some true franchize fans will remember.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth

World of Warcraft, or WOW as it’s called is online for 14 years now. It’s perhaps the most popular MMORPG of all times and it still has millions of active players, even though the graphics and gameplay are old and dated. Well, the guys from Blizzard have managed to keep the game alive with updates that bring map expansions, new classes, races, weapons, epic mounts, and so on.

The newest expansion is called Battle for Azeroth and it brings an overhaul to the game we all learned to love. As a player, you’ll get a chance to form new alliances, enter new arenas, dungeons, and raids. The character level cap has been raised to 120.

The world has six new zones to explore, new bosses and enemies that will test your skills and items to the limit. The idea behind this expansion is to give players as much diversity as possible with the many new classes available. They will then team up and meet each other in the arena.

In order to win, players must work as a team because each one has a role he has to play. Even the graphics got a bit better, which is a must for a game this old. Anyway, we are looking forward to every new battle between the Horde and the Alliance.

Far Cry 5

Far Cry has ruled the world of single-player FPSs since it hit the market back in the early 2000s. The game is known for its amazing graphics, super-cool realistic firefights, and a great storyline that keeps most of us glued to the screen all night long.

The first game of the franchise has transformed the world of FPS, and Far Cry 5 is here to introduce even more awesome features for everyone to enjoy. This time, you’ll be fighting a group of religious fanatics that have taken over a quiet county in the southern US. We won’t give out all of the details, but you’ll find yourself in a role of a guy that has found himself in the middle of a war between the locals and the fanatics.

Apart from the new setting and characters, Far Cry 5 has the best graphics of all the games in the franchise. The introduction of the dog is one of the newest features and it can help you take out enemies without being seen. The gameplay engine allows the player to develop a style as the game progresses and the beautiful setting and a huge map will give you plenty of areas to explore and enjoy alone, or with friends.

Metro: Exodus

The year is 2033 and the world is engulfed by a nuclear winter that came after the nuke war. Most of the people of the planet have perished due to the war and the hordes of mutants that now live on the surface. The only known survivors of the catastrophe have hidden in the underground metro stations in Moscow where they battle bandits, monsters, hunger, and disease.

That’s the setting for Metro 2033, a game based on a novel, that became popular overnight. It was a single player game, but the developers realized that the world of Metro has many fans around the world, which led them to create a multiplayer open-world Metro game called Exodus.

You will get a chance to fight your way through the unforgiving world and the desperate people living in it. The graphics are amazing, the features are still kept in the dark, but judging from what we’ve seen so far, Metro Exodus promises to surpass its predecessors, and the fans can’t wait for it to hit the market. We’ll have to wait until June to join forces with our comrades in battle.

Monster Hunter World

Capcom is a Japanese company known for releasing the most popular fantasy MMORPGs, as well as many other AAA games we’ve played over the years. Their newest project Monster hunter world brings back the huge boss fights, oversized weapons, and crazy video effects no one can ignore.

You will find yourself in the role of a knight/ monster hunter in a world populated by all kinds of monsters and creatures. The game brings a perfect blend of wild action, crazy video effects, a beautiful, huge world, giant enemies, super fun battle dynamics, and an interesting leveling system.

It’s really a mix of Arc Evolved and the Final Fantasy series, buffed with crazy huge bosses and even bigger weapons. The graphics are great, but the real jewel of this game is super pumped action when you meet one of these monsters in the world. It’s already out so you can become a monster slayer right now.

Metal Gear Survive

Capcom is a Japanese company known for releasing the most popular fantasy MMORPGs, as well as many other AAA games we’ve played over the years. Their newest project Monster hunter world brings back the huge boss fights, oversized weapons, and crazy video effects no one can ignore.

Ah yes, commandos, huge robots, super-fast-paced action and really well-written stories are back for another amazing adventure called Metal Gear Survive.

The setting of the game is a bit different than what we’re used to in Metal Gear games. Some experiment went wrong and the Mother Base is transported to another dimension populated by monsters and zombie-like creatures. Some diehard fans won’t be so happy with the newest story, but it brings a different perspective to the franchise and gives you more possibilities.

The gameplay hasn’t changed much since the last title, but some new features have been added like customizable characters, new weapons, a new universe, base building, and huge mega bosses. The last game in the series has set the bar high, so we expect a lot from this title made without Kojima, the guy who was the driving force of Metal Gear. Let’s wait and see, maybe Konami doesn’t need him to make a great MGS game.
